The Bing Search Engine Buzz - What It Means For Your Blog

There is a lot of buzz on the net about Bing, MSN's new search engine. There are also a lot of panicked bloggers who are worried that they will have to optimize their blogs for Bing and they have no idea how to do this. I was surprised and dismayed at all the panic out there, I'm worried about my blogging friends everywhere. I want you all to take a deep breath and read this article about why you shouldn't worry about optimizing your blog for Bing, at least not yet.

And please don't let anyone sell you anything that promises to give you an edge for Bing SEO...

I'm afraid that some of the less scrupulous internet marketers out there may try to pressure you into buying SEO tools or tips to help you optimize your blog for Bing. I don't believe they have the inside track, I think they are looking to capitalize on people's insecurity and panic. Don't give in - play a little bit of the waiting game. The people in the know are going to be pushing Bing's envelope to see how it works and responds. They will be blogging about this and sharing with us all about how to deal with Bing and tune our SEO techniques accordingly and if necessary. Not only that, Bing may not get that much of the search traffic from it's competitors and paying money to get optimized now may well turn out to be a complete waste of time and money.

There are quite a few informed articles about Bling online now and these are good reading. So far some like the Bing search engine and of course some don't. I also found an article on how to submit your blog to Bing and this is a good idea, something you can do without having to pay a cent. You also don't have to make any changes to your blog to do it. I for one refuse to be a sheep in a panicked flock, I'm sitting on sidelines waiting for the dust to settle so I can see clearly and make informed decisions. You should too.
